Traditional handmade scarf, dyed black with ultra fine micro needlework along the borders with one embroidered paisley design on each corner. In Kashmir, this is known as the Denzdar design. Embroidery has blue and gold undertones.
Cashmere is combed out by herding nomads from the small Pashmina goat living high up in the mountains of Ladakh, India, in the Himalayan range. The hair is hand spun by ladies in Srinagar, then weaved also by hand, on old traditional wooden looms. Micro needlework is done by one artisan in Gous village, for the whole scarf.
Can be worn as a scarf, a wrap or a shoulder shawl.
